The current international system supports the stability and prosperity of the world, but the United States, as the biggest beneficiary of this system, is heading towards its opposite.   Wang Yi stressed that maintaining multilateral trade rules is the most urgent issue at present. The essence of trade is complementary advantages and mutual benefit and win-win results. The United States has benefited a lot from free trade for a long time, but now it uses tariffs as a bargaining chip to ask countries for prices. The BRICS countries should jointly oppose all forms of protectionism, resolutely safeguard the multilateral trading system based on rules and the World Trade Organization as the core, safeguard their core values ​​and basic principles, and promote the liberalization and facilitation of trade.
