Italian musical "Divine Comedy" will come to China for the first time

At the press conference, the Italian actor brought a wonderful singing episode of "Divine Comedy".

  2025 marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. The Italian musical "Divine Comedy" will come to China for the first time, performing 57 shows in 15 cities across the country, of which the Beijing show will be performed at the Century Theater from July 31 to August 3. On April 21, the drama held a national tour press conference in Beijing.

  The Italian musical "Divine Comedy" is the first musical to interpret Dante's "Divine Comedy". It has won the Dante Association Gold Award and two Persephone Awards. It was previously full of performances in Italy.

  The play combines rock, pop and opera, and reconstructs Dante's philosophical world with rich musical language. The starring cast brings together the new generation of Italian singers, and each singer is known for its golden sound quality and emotional explosiveness. In addition to 8 famous Italian singers, 14 dancers and acrobats, the show also has more than 200 sets of stage costumes and more than 70 3D scenes, plus the original music of the famous composer Marco Flicina, allowing the audience to follow Dante's soul journey as if they were in the scene. Not long ago, the starring of the musical "Divine Comedy" also appeared on CCTV's classic excerpts of "Beauty and Beauty", setting a new high in the ratings of the program.

  The director of the play Andrea Ortiz said that the musical "Divine Comedy" perfectly interprets this classical literary masterpiece through extraordinary performances filled with music, dance, and modern digital technology. In this theatrical journey where music and technology are the core of the narrative, all audiences can better understand and appreciate the pinnacle of the great poet Dante.

  At the press conference, eight top Italian actors performed on the same stage with the well-known domestic children's choir "WeDo".
