38.826 million people are colorful and full of consumption in the business district

New projects have driven the popularity of the business district to leap, and policy dividends have accelerated the release of consumption potential. During the May Day holiday, Beijing has innovated market supply and service guarantee in multiple dimensions. The department stores, supermarkets, professional stores, catering and e-commerce companies focused on monitoring by the Municipal Bureau of Commerce achieved sales of 5.34 billion yuan, and the customer flow in 60 key business districts in the city reached 38.826 million, an increase of 8.3% year-on-year.

  "I waited for a long time, and it finally came back!" On May 1, Ms. Xie, who lives in Zhongguancun, walked into Zhongguancun Square, and the brand new Zhongguancun ART PARK Darongcheng West District made her eyes shine.   Zhongguancun Shibao Street carries the taste memories of many Haidian residents. After the transformation, the indoor food district has been completely upgraded. More than 80 catering brands that debuted in different styles, including Internet celebrity baked tea drinks and local cuisines, of which more than 20% are their first stores. During the holidays, this park-style commercial center attracted 159,000 visitors.

  In the Ya'ao business district, Aoyuan City Street, which also officially opened on May Day, attracted tourists to check in because of its unique container style. "I didn't know what gifts to my relatives and friends, but I solved it in minutes here!" Visitor Xiao Fan selected cultural and creative products with Beijing characteristics and mailed postcards to my friends at the Olympic-themed post office. During the May Day holiday, more than 10,000 passengers are welcomed every day.

  During the holidays, Super Heshenghui, which has just achieved a joint operation in the east and west areas, also ushered in special themed activities such as camping music parties and trendy toy sports markets, driving the shopping mall’s passenger flow to nearly 1 million.

  The completion of the adjustment and reform of Shuang'an Shopping Mall, coupled with holiday promotion, drove sales to increase by 121.5% year-on-year; sales of department stores and Hanguang Department Store increased by 38.6% and 14% year-on-year; customer flows of Qianmen Dashilan Business District and Wanliu Business District increased by 84% and 78.3% year-on-year respectively... During the holiday period, the customer flow in key business districts in Beijing increased significantly, and the unique experience attracted a large number of citizens to go out of their homes.

  The old-for-new policy is also accurately releasing consumption potential. Suning, Gome and other companies have set up old-for-new counters, and JD.com has jointly provided recycling companies with one-stop service of "online declaration-offline recycling-instant subsidies" to promote the renewal and upgrading of green consumption. During the May Day holiday, green renewal subsidies combined with corporate discounts and concessions have driven Beijing's sales of home appliances to reach 84,000 units, with an average daily sales volume increasing by 40% compared with before the holiday.

  During the May Day holiday, the catering market in Beijing was booming, and it was hard to find a private room for various time-honored restaurants. Some restaurants have to turn over 5 to 6 times a day, and wait for nearly 100 tables during peak dining hours. At 11 a.m. on the 4th, Tongchunyuan store was already crowded, and many customers took their numbers and lined up in the lobby to wait. "Often the average customer is basically all seated around 12:30. These days, dozens of customers are waiting for the seats every afternoon." The clerk told reporters that more than 100 signature dishes are sold every day during the holidays.

  During the May Day holiday, foreign tourists were the "main force" of catering consumption, especially the number of customers in stores near attractions increased significantly. Gulou Makai Restaurant waits for customers until 2:30 pm every day, and the mutton skewers at the takeaway stalls sell thousands of skewers every day. Tongheju Yuetan Store located in Sanlihe is also popular. The private rooms for lunch and dinner are full. There are dozens of customers waiting for seats in the lobby every day.
