Semi electric semi-trailer is finally coming Tesla recruits more than 1,000 new workers

Phoenix Technology News On April 30, Beijing time, according to Business Insider, people familiar with the matter said that Tesla is recruiting more than 1,000 new workers in Nevada to speed up the mass production process of the long-delayed Semi semi-truck.

On Monday, Tesla posted a video on YouTube, announcing that the first Semi cars will begin mass production at the Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada by the end of 2025. The annual production capacity of the plant will reach 50,000 vehicles.

Business Insider points out that Tesla has been expanding the operation of its Nevada factory in recent months, arranging new workers to receive training and visit the factory. Prior to this, Tesla allocated less than a hundred factory workers for the Semi electric truck project, including personnel from California's pilot production lines.

Tesla has been hoping to build an electric truck manufacturing business for years, initially saying it will start mass production of Semi trucks in 2019. The company's official website currently lists nearly 100 Semi-related positions, ranging from testing and maintenance technicians to engineering and quality assurance positions.

As of press time, Tesla has not commented on this. (Author/Xiao Yu)
