On April 29, the "Digital China Development Report (2024)" released at the 8th Digital China Construction Summit outlines the vigorous development picture of digital China.

  During the summit, relevant officials from the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Data Administration, the National Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments spoke in a concentrated manner, focusing on accelerating the implementation of the "Artificial Intelligence +" action, promoting the high-quality development of the digital industry, promoting the supply of high-quality data, and strengthening the construction and application of data infrastructure, stimulating new momentum for the development of the digital economy, and continuously expanding the space for industrial upgrading and economic growth.

  From new achievements in embodied intelligence, to new applications of human-machine in the fields of logistics, meteorology, surveying and mapping, to hard-core technologies such as brain-like computing, dense state computing, and multimodal large models, during this year's summit, a large number of new digital technologies and new products were first released, with a first-time exhibition rate exceeding 65%.

  Relying on high-precision bionic face customization technology, replicating the real face and tone, and combining voice, expression, lip shape, and movement to achieve natural dialogue. In the exhibition area, China Mobile brought its first bionic humanoid robot. On-site staff told reporters that relying on the advantages of basic networks and the nine-day big model, China Mobile is focusing on training robots' universal "brain" to improve the efficiency of robot intention recognition, reasoning and decision-making and disassembly of complex tasks.

  On the other side of the exhibition area, the audience clicks on the screen and selects the two keywords "work" and "penguin". Tencent Hunyuan 3D generates a big model and then generates a three-dimensional image, and the connected 3D printer begins to run. According to the on-site staff, 3D AIGC technology is currently iterating rapidly, greatly reducing the threshold for 3D content creation. Through a one-stop 3D content AI creation platform, game production, social networking, e-commerce advertising, industrial manufacturing, AR/VR and other fields are accelerating the application of AI capabilities to assist 3D content production.

  Through the window of the summit, we can see that the vitality of my country's digital industry development is emerging. The "Digital China Development Report (2024)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report") released by the National Data Administration at the meeting showed that among the 45,000 newly published generative artificial intelligence patents in 2024, my country accounted for 61.5%. The rise of domestic artificial intelligence contributes "Chinese wisdom" to the world.

  Xiong Jijun, deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that my country's digital industry completed business revenue of 35 trillion yuan in 2024, an increase of 5.5% year-on-year. The native Hongmeng system has become the world's third largest mobile operating system, and has made great progress in the fields of integrated circuits, Beidou large-scale applications, new displays, etc. The digital field has cultivated and formed more than 4,000 specialized and new "little giant" companies.

  Focusing on further releasing the potential of digital economy development and promoting the innovation and development of digital technology, multiple departments have further made arrangements.

The "National Data Resource Survey Report (2024)" released at the meeting showed that in 2024, the national data production volume reached 41.06 ZB (ZB), a year-on-year increase of 25%, and the marketization and valueization process of data elements was further accelerated. In particular, the development and utilization of enterprise data resources has accelerated, and the total amount of active data has increased by 22.73% year-on-year.
